A turquoise jewel
One of the most beautiful hiking destinations in Tyrol is located at 1,657 metres above sea level: the impressive Seebensee lake.
The Seebensee lake is a natural mountain lake at 1,657m above sea level, located south of Ehrwald in the Mieminger Mountains. The lake itself is nestled between the Vorderer Tajakopf mountain to the east, the Vorderer Drachenkopf to the south, and the Ehrwalder Sonnenspitze to the west. On windless days, even the world-famous Zugspitze is reflected in its turquoise water. Once you get there, make yourself comfortable on the shore of the lake, listen to the silence of nature, and enjoy the warm rays of the sun on your face. When you get hungry (or thirsty), we recommend a little detour to the Coburger Hütte: a lovely hut that can be reached in just a few minutes. Do you prefer a cold beer, a warming soup, or perhaps a delicious piece of cake? At the hut, you can rest, enjoy the sun, and get ready for the upcoming descent back to the valley. Afterwards, we await you in our hotel in the Austrian Alps for the perfect dinner.
