Zugspitze
With its almost 3,000-metre height, Zugspitze amazes both guests and locals.
Ready for fabulous views and boundless freedom? Then take a trip to Zugspitze! Germany’s highest mountain – and also the highest peak in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena – rises an impressive 2,962 metres into the sky. It’s an awe-inspiring sight that will amaze you even if you are just driving past. For those who come to our spa hotel in Tyrol, a detour to Zugspitze would not be amiss. If you don’t want to hike up to the summit via one of thefour Alpine ascents, simply take the cable car to quickly gain altitude. Several attractions await you at the top:
- “Fascination Zugspitze” museum with interesting insights into the history of the mountain: from the first ascent to the construction of the Zugspitz cable car and up to the present day.
- Europe’s first snow crystal world: where everything revolves around snow and its importance to tourism, winter sports, and the population.
If you have a little more time available, we recommend a 45-minute guided tour of the glacier on Zugspitze. It will be simply unforgettable!
