Summer retreat in Tyrol
Summer – Noun [countable or uncountable]
Season between spring and autumn; the warmest time of the year
“Summer” may describe a long period of time in many parts of Europe. Here at Hotel Singer in Berwang, at 1,300m above sea level, it encompasses the period from the end of June to the end of August, by which time it is autumn. But these two months are absolutely gorgeous: lush green meadows, long days, pleasantly warm mountain lakes, and mild evenings invite you to stay outside a little longer. A highlight at this time of the year is a dinner on the large panoramic terrace of our spa hotel in Tyrol. Our guests then enjoy their dinner “al fresco” under the deep-blue sky, while the mountain peaks glow red as the sun is starting to set. And that is the great advantage of a summer holiday in the mountains: it may have been incredibly warm during the day – you swam in a mountain lake, took a dip in the pool, or went on a beautiful hike – but at night you can be sure that it cools down to 15°C at the most. Simply wonderful!
